Overview: 

Foxit PDF Reader (previously known as Foxit Reader) is a multilingual, freemium PDF (Portable Document Format) reader that can create, view, edit, digitally sign, and print PDF files. Foxit Reader Software is based in Fuzhou, China, and develops Foxit Reader. Early versions of Foxit Reader were notable for their short startup times and small file sizes; it was found that Foxit v3.0 and Adobe Reader were similar. 

The Windows version supports FDF import/export, annotation and saving of incomplete PDF forms, text conversion, highlighting, and drawing. Prior to version 9.7.2, Foxit Reader offered tools for creating PDFs, such as a “Foxit PDF Printer” for Windows that allowed any application to “print” its output to a PDF file. These features were removed from later releases in May 2020. An Enterprise edition of Foxit PDF Reader is also available, but it requires an Adobe account.
